High on a mountain in northern Israel, a team of researchers are searching for the roots of modern man. During their important work, the team then find a fossil buried beneath the ground, and – incredibly – later investigation suggests that it’s the oldest evidence of Homo sapiens ever found beyond the bounds of Africa. And what’s more, that being the case, this discovery could have astounding implications for history as we have hitherto known it.
